Scope & limitations

  • The committee agreed not to contest the Commission finding, without admitting liability, to settle. It contended staff believed the work was exempt volunteer activity and did not request the travel or stipend funding.

  • This civil campaign-finance case is not a criminal conviction or a finding that Sanders personally received the money.
